Edushastra HR Policy

  1. Refund Policy: Fees once paid will not be refunded.
  2. “Consumed Services” will not be refunded in any case. “Consumed Services” are defined as Invites sent for Classes, Counselling Sessions, Review Sessions/ Consultancy sessions, Test Invites, etc. Class/Session Invites is “Offered Services”. “Invites” will not be counted if a student/consumer has given prior information in writing or email at least 72 hours before the session/service commencement.
  3. “Consumed Services” also includes Payment Commissions paid to Banks & PayUMoney portal, Books/ebooks MRP, Counseling & Consultancy Fees, Mapping Phase & Mapping Test Charges, Class Invites, Test Invites, etc.
  4. In all calculations, one class cost will be calculated by dividing “Total Course Fees” by “Total Course Hours”. “Total Course Fees” for GMAT is Rs. 28999 (Classroom & Hybrid Model) & Rs. 18999 (Live Online Model). “Total Course Fees” for GMCAT is Rs. 34999 (Classroom & Hybrid Model) & Rs. 24999 (Live Online Model). Promotional Discounts will not be considered in calculating “Consumed Services”. 1-on-1 sessions hourly fee would be three times of batch hourly fee.
  5. “Total Course Hours” is defined as a Class-hours to complete the full course cycle. GMAT Course is a “Total 60 Hours Course”, CAT Course is a “Total 80 Hours Course” and GMCAT is a “Total 100 Hours Course”. Additional classes/services are in the category of “Free Services”. Total Course hours include all four phases such as Mapping, Foundation, Testing and Control phases. If a student/consumer spends “Total Course Hours” in any phase, then additional class hours will be in the “Free Services” Category. “Free Services” cannot be claimed as a “Right, Privilege or Entitlement” in any circumstances. EduShastra has full “Authorisation & Right” to offer or decline services included in “Free Services”.
  6. Course Fees is payment for services included in “Total Course Hours”. Course fees do not include payment for services included in the “Free Services” Category. Course fees do not give “Right, Privilege or Entitlement” to any student/consumer for claiming services included in the “Free Services” Category.
  7. The Full GMAT Course completion is the conclusion of all course phases (Mapping, Foundation, Testing & Control), or completion of 60-hours (of classes, tests, counseling & mentoring), whichever concludes earlier.
  8. The Full GMCAT Course completion is the conclusion of all course phases (Mapping, Foundation, Testing & Control), or completion of 100-hours (of classes, tests, counseling & mentoring), whichever concludes earlier.
  9. EduShastra model is to search for all students “Optimum Level”. Students/Consumers are given extra classes to reach their optimum. Extra classes are “Free Services”.
  10. “Free Services” are defined as/ includes:
    1. Extra Classes, Free Classes, Free Counselling sessions, Free Consultancy sessions, etc.
    2. Full Testing & Control Phase.
    3. Free Admission Counselling.
    4. Profile Evaluation based on IQ & EQ Profile facets.
    5. Business Schools Selection based upon aspirant’s profile strengths.
    6. Profile Mapping with targeted Business Schools.
    7. Application Assistance & Counselling.
    8. Editing of Statements of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation, Essays, and Resumes.
    9. EduShastra Alumni Assistance & Mentoring.
    10. Comprehensive and rigorous Interview preparation.
    11. Visa, Educational loan, and Scholarship Counselling.
  11. Free Services are prerogative of EduShastra only. Course fees do not include the cost of the services included in the “Free Services”. “Free Services” cannot be claimed as a “Right, Privilege or Entitlement” in any circumstances. EduShastra has full “Authorisation & Right” to offer or decline services included in “Free Services”. EduShastra has full rights to stop “Free Services” at any time.
  12. Digital Products (E-books, Softwares, DVDs, etc) will not be refunded in any condition.
  13. The “Money-Back Promise” is applicable only after fully completing the Course Testing Phase. The academics sends a “Testing Phase Completion Confirmation email” after the Testing Phase completion.
  14. EduShastra has full rights to terminate the course of any student who absconds (stops attending a class or course) without written information for more than 30 days.
  15. In the Hybrid Model, Online classes cannot exceed 10% of total course hours.
  16. The student can request for batch changes once in the course tenure.
  17. The Testing & Control Phase are initiated after the completion of one Foundation Phase Course Time-cycle. One Time-cycle for the GMAT foundation phase is 2.5 Months, the CAT foundation phase is 3 Months and the GMCAT foundation phase is 5 months respectively.
  18. In the Foundation Phase 2nd Cycle and onwards, class videos will be provided.
  19. For Referral discount, A Student has to share all information about “Referrer or Referred Person” before Demo class registration.
  20. Money-Back Request, if approved by Management, will take at least 45 working days for processing.
  21. The Refund cannot be done for any student if ‘A student has requested for Class Video Membership access’ or ‘A student has any Class Video membership’.
  22. The Online classes are conducted on universally accepted Google Meet or Zoom Meeting Platforms. The students are advised to check their country Censorship Policies or any System (Computer, Mobile, etc) technical requirements before enrolling. EduShastra would not be held liable for it.
  23. Course mode changing from Online to Offline or vice versa can be done within 14 days of course commencement.
  24. Enrollment for a course (Course Fee Payment) will be considered as an acceptance of above mentioned “Terms & Conditions”.
  25. For Legal or arbitration cases, please communicate to the Registered company address as per the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. Please do not send any communication to Zonal, Regional or City Offices or Centres. All Legal/ Arbitration cases will be under the jurisdiction of Delhi courts.

The terms and conditions of your employment with the company are as follows, effective from the date of joining the company:

  1. Location –You will be initially posted at New Delhi office. However, you can be posted and transferred to any other office /branch of the company anywhere in India or abroad or in any other department or at customer place, depending upon the exigencies of the company’s work without any change in the compensation package.
  2. Training Period –You will be on training for six month from the date of joining which may be extended, if considered necessary by EduShastra subjected to the display of satisfactory performance. During the training, your notice period for separation from services of EduShastra, by either side, will be by a written intimation of 30 days in advance (or 30 days’ salary in lieu thereof depending on manager’s discretion). Further the company may at its discretion relieve you from such date as it may deem fit even prior to the expiry of the notice period. However, the company reserves its right to dismiss the employee (whether confirmed or on training) immediately without compensation & any previous dues based on Clause 4.
  3. Confirmation Period- You will be regarded as on Training until company issue a letter of confirmation. After confirmation, your notice period for separation from services of EduShastra, by either side, will be by a written intimation of one month in advance (or one month salary in lieu thereof depending on manager’s discretion). However, the company reserves its right to dismiss the employee (whether confirmed or on probation) immediately without compensation & any previous dues based on Clause-4. Your approved leave will not be adjustable against the notice period. The resignation will be accepted only on your fulfilling the terms of the undertaking given by you during your employment. However, in the event of your resignation, the company in its sole discretion will have an option to accept the same and relieve you prior to completion of the stipulated notice period, without any pay in lieu of the notice period.
    • Note (for both confirmed and on-training employees): If any failure in a background check at any stage of employment or integrity violation/misconduct, he/she will refund 2-months’ salary, any joining bonus, or any re-location charges that have been incurred by the employer on his behalf.
  4. Termination Without Notice-Your services are liable to be terminated forthwith without any notice or salary or any compensation in lieu thereof for any of the following reasons:
    • Any act of misconduct, without being exhaustive and without prejudice to the general meaning of the term “Misconduct” in the case of reasonable suspicion of misconduct, commission of an act involving moral turpitude, any act of indiscipline or inefficiency. “Misconduct” will include without limitation:
      • Breach of confidentiality / Secrecy.
      • Dishonesty, disobedience, disorderly behaviour and indiscipline behaviour.
      • Disclosing to any unauthorized person any information regarding the business of the company.
      • Absence from service without prior notice in writing or without sufficient cause for three days or more.
      • Neglect of duties and functions or guilty of any negligence.
      • Willful insubordination or disobedience, fraud or misconduct, whether in combination with another, of any lawful and reasonable instructions of superior.
      • Going to abetting a strike in contravention of any law.
      • Causing damage to the property of the company.
      • Breach of any of the conditions of this agreement.
      • Not attending office due to Medical or other reasons, without information and submission of enough medical documents within 3 days. The information must be given in writing within 3 days of your absence and further acceptance by the manager. In the absence of written information within 3 days, the company reserves its right to dismiss the employee (whether confirmed or on probation) immediately without any compensation & any previous dues/adjustments.
      • In case mentioned in your application or unsubstantiated or discussions, papers submitted by you to the company are found false or any certificates/testimonials or documentary evidences submitted by you are found to be false or incorrect and/or that you have suppressed and/or withheld any information.
      • In case you have undertaken any direct/indirect–full time or part time business or work whether for honorarium or remuneration, without prior written permission of the company.
      • If you have indulged in passage of confidential information of the company, to any third party or otherwise, or have willfully and deliberately violated or have breached any policies or internal regulation and conduct guideline of the company.
      • Misuse or mishandle any of the facilities as and when provided by the company for the promotion of business such as office phone, Mobile phone, Laptop, Computer System, Corporate Credit card, Vehicle etc.
  5. Authorization-By signing this offer of employment you authorize us to deduct or retain from your salary:
    • A payment we make in error to you.
    • Any sums you owe to us on the termination of your employment.
    • Any losses the company incurs because of your negligence or breach of our policies.
    • Pay in lieu of any holidays taken by you in excess to your pro-rate entitlement.
    • Pay in respect of any unauthorized absence.
  6. Non-contractual Bonus-Company may make bonus/incentives payments to you on your satisfactory performance to targets. You will be advised of the current conditions for payment of your bonus/incentives separately. Our bonus/incentives schemes are non-contractual, and we may review this periodically. All bonus/incentives schemes and payments are made entirely at the discretion of the Directors and may be altered or withdrawn without notice at any time. No bonus/incentives payments are made after the termination of employment or on submission of resignation or after doing the full &final settlements or whatever reason.
  7. Company Property-You will be responsible for the safekeeping and return, in good condition and order of all the properties of the company which may be in your case, custody, care or charge. In the event of loss of property of the company in your possession, the company will have the right to assess on its basis and recover the damages of all such material from you and take such other action as it deems proper in the event of your failure to account for any such material or property towards company’s satisfaction. You need to return the company property immediately in the event of your resignation or within 3 days from the date of your resignation and must appear either in person or a person can be authorized to handover the assets. In the absence of which the company reserves its right to dismiss the employee (whether confirmed or on probation) immediately without any compensation & other adjustments and can initiate appropriate legal action.
  8. Retirement Age-You will automatically retire from the services of the company on attaining the age of 58 years. Your age mentioned in the birth certificate/Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate would be deemed to be a conclusive proof of your date of birth.
  9. Working Hours-The office timings will be from 9.30 AM to 6:30 PM, with one weekly off, this weekly off will be with consent of your manager, understanding the kind of business we are into However, timings can be extended. You should be available On-Call during the holidays if work demands and you are expected to work such as are reasonably necessary for the proper performance of your duties. No overtime is payable.

  1. Change in Address-We understand that address given by you is your present and permanent address. Any changes in address should be immediately intimated to the company.
  2. Special Needs-Please let your managers know if you have any special needs, we should be aware of, or if you develop any special needs during your employment with us.
  3. Medical Fitness-You will be required to submit a medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. You need to disclose any prior medical history or illness in writing while accepting the employment offer and failure to do so shall be considered gross misconduct. In case it is found later, that you are not able to perform your duties due to some medical illness which was not disclosed during the joining time/hidden during employment, organization has a right to terminate you from your duties without any notice or any payment of dues.   4. Duties & Obligations-Your duties will be as per discussions during the time of interview. In the addition to this, you may be required to perform other duties as your manager may reasonably require from time to time as per the business needs of the company. The company reserves the right upon reasonable notice to alter or vary your job function or duties in accordance with your capabilities. You agree to follow & comply with internal regulations, guidelines and policies of the company as may be framed due to business exigencies or otherwise. You also accept the obligation to be in the full compliance of all statuary laws & regulation for & on behalf of the company as may be so expected or desired including the cyber, IPR & other laws so as to not to in any manner prejudice the rights and interests of the company. You will not, unless specifically authorized by your superior officer in writing, give any interview in any newspaper, magazine or write to press or media (print or electronic).
  5. Security-If there is a need to take some of the equipment/Assets/ infrastructure out of the office premises for any reason, you shall obtain the gate pass/permission in writing from the manager.
  6. Compensation-Your salary will be reviewed periodically as per company policy. Changes in your compensation are discretionary and will be subject to and based on effective performance and results during the period and other relevant criteria. Monthly Salary Cheques will be issued on 16th of every following month.
  7. Service Agreement-In the event of the company deputing you on an assignment out of your work place/location/abroad, you will be required to sign a deputation agreement with the company and execute a surety bond on such terms as the company may deem appropriate.
  8. Changes to the Terms and Conditions of your employment- Company reserves the right to make reasonable changes to any of your terms and conditions of employment. The above terms and conditions including those in Annexure 1 & 2 are based on company policies, procedures and other rules currently applicable in India as well overseas and are subject to amendments and adjustments from time to time. You will also abide by all other rules and regulations of the company and shall be in force.
    This letter, together with our policies comprises the full terms and conditions of your employment with EduShastra. In all services matters, including those specifically here, such a travel, leave, retirement, holidays, weekly-offs etc. You will be governed by the rules of the company framed from time to time. You will be observed and be governed by all the rules and regulations of the company that are in force now and those that may come into force at a future date, even if they are not individually notified to you in writing. The company has the sole and absolute right to change any of its rules and regulations at any time to meet exigencies of business.
  9. General-You will be governed under the Indian law as per the company rules and regulations. During your employment with the Company, you will be governed by the service rules and regulations of the Company in force or as introduced or amended from time to time. You will also, be governed by the Company’s policies and rules regarding Leave, Relieving Letter, Travel Assistance, Notice period, Misconduct, Discipline, Transfer, etc. In event of any conduct by employee that company, in its sole opinion, deems to be a violation or threatened violation of this agreement, company shall be entitled to in juncture and other equitable relief because such conduct, if not restrained, would result in irreparable harm to company for which damages would not be an adequate remedy. For any dispute between the parties, the jurisdiction shall be fixed at New Delhi.
    You have been engaged on the presumption that the documents furnished by you in your application and/or Bio-data are correct. In case the said particulars are found to be incorrect or it is found that you have concealed or withheld some other relevant facts, your appointment with the Company shall stand terminated / cancelled without any prior notice.

    All employees must fill “Police Verification/ Clearance Form” as a mandatory requirement.

    All employees will show “Original Documents” of all qualifications & work experience mentioned in the resume for verification purposes.

    Full & Final Settlement: F & F Settlement process will take at least 45 days to complete from the day in which employee has completed all Exit Policy formalities. Exit Policy formalities includes total work handover to the reporting authority, clearing all dues, Handing over all office property to the reporting authority, etc.

    Any employee not completing ten days of employment will not be entitled for any compensation or Salary.

    I hereby accept the terms and conditions mentioned in the above Annexure 1& 2 with free consent and sound mind and therefore will abide by the same.
